Ventolin Syrup is recommended for alleviating bronchospasm in adults and children aged 2 years and older who have reversible obstructive airway disease.

The dosages of Ventolin Syrup are provided in terms of Salbutamol base: For adults and pediatric patients over 12 years, the typical starting dosage is 2 mg (1 teaspoonful) or 4 mg (2 teaspoonfuls) three to four times daily. For pediatric patients aged 6 to 12 years, the usual starting dosage is 2 mg (1 teaspoonful) three to four times daily. For those aged 2 to 6 years, the dosing should begin at 0.1 mg/kg of body weight three times a day, not exceeding 2 mg (1 teaspoonful) three times daily.

For adults and pediatric patients over 12 years: A dosage greater than 4 mg four times a day should only be considered if there is no response to this amount. If the initial 4 mg dosage does not yield a positive result, it may be cautiously increased in increments as tolerated, not exceeding 8 mg four times a day (total daily dosage should remain within 32 mg).

Pediatric patients aged 6 to 12 years who do not respond to the starting dosage of 2 mg four times a day: If these children do not respond adequately, the dosage may be cautiously increased stepwise as tolerated but should not exceed 6 mg four times daily (total daily dosage must not surpass 24 mg).

Pediatric patients aged 2 to 6 years who do not achieve satisfactory results from the initial dosage: For these children, the dosage may be increased gradually to 0.2 mg/kg of body weight three times a day, provided it does not exceed a maximum of 4 mg (2 teaspoonfuls) administered three times a day (total daily dose must not exceed 12 mg).

Elderly patients and those who are sensitive to beta-adrenergic stimulants: The initial dosage should be limited to 2 mg three or four times a day. If sufficient bronchodilation is not achieved, the dosage may be gradually increased, as tolerated, up to
